I choose joy. Thank you, Vice president Harris and Governor Walz, for giving me that choice. Thank you, President Biden, for making that choice possible.
Walz is wonderful, and continues the trend but the joy came with Kamala. She brought it, and ignited a wave of optimism. Hit the ground running, flawless, herself, and met the moment. No long term prep and opinions based on the polls. And it was perfect. Real.
Just watched Donald lie his ass off on TV. Anyone can see that Harris-Walz is a fried chicken dinner. Trump-Vance is a steaming bowl of dog shit. The Press is trying to sell us dog shit.
VP Harris made the correct choice for her running mate because Coach Walz has that 'Every Man' vibe that most people can relate to and there is already a very comfortable chemistry that has developed between the two of them. Kamala Harris has demonstrated time and again that she has very good judgment, so we should not be at all surprised that she has made another wise decision, unlike someone who has declared bankruptcy 6 times, displaying very poor judgment and a callous disregard for the consequences to other people.
It hadn’t fully occurred to me how I’d not felt so much joy in a long time until Harris became the presumptive then full nominee. It felt good. Then Walz, who I’d followed because Minnesota friends so admired him, my first choice for Veep, became hers. Smiles continue. Joy felt. Energy. We will win this on humanity, policies and compassionate joy! Thank you for showing why.
Those two "joyful warriors" sure brought joy to us all! I can see the light brighter in the White House and our country! They are an awesome team and one can immediately feel it just by looking at them, smiling exuding a BIG BLUE WIN!
"Because, ultimately, as Chris Hayes said on MSNBC Tuesday night, after watching the joy on display at their Philadelphia rally:
“If you had to choose which side you’d rather be on, I think you’d choose the side of joy and energy and enthusiasm, rather than anger, bitterness and division.”"
When considering the better between Walz and Shapiro, also consider that one may have checked 94 of the boxes and the other only 90.
Yes, there will always be those who feel Kamala made a bad choice based on the policy du jour, but c'mon! There's a lot that goes into selecting the right VP candidate.

Can i just interject that the joy we are feeling originated with how Kamala entered the moment. Walz is wonderful, and continues the trend but the joy came with Kamala. She brought it, and ignited a wave of optimism. Hit the ground running, flawless, herself, and met the moment. No long term prep and opinions based on the polls. And it was perfect. Real. With Biden's endorsement, an amazing president, so loved for bringing us here, for all he has done, (that maybe only he could have done, with his lifetime of experience and friendships), he stands and will stand among the greats. All of that. It was a moment of pride, for what we can be. Good people coming together. An amazing moment in American history, and i was there. That is what i saw.
Agree. My point wasn't that he brought it to the ticket, it was that with the choice of Walz, she chose to lean into joy, which is a message that comes naturally to her and also happens to meet the moment.
Thanks for taking time to clarify. As a woman of some age, i have seen my share of confusion when credit for something seems to inexplicably bend toward the white male, as if that is when "legitimacy" enters the room. The misogyny was mostly always subtle and confusing - and dismissed by men AND women. Gaslighting any questions. America has not been kind to smart women. Kamala has broken through the walls like paper. I so admire her, so happy, about everything she brings to future generations, of all pronouns.
I wholeheartedly agree with the tenets of this post. I believe the choice of Tim Walz was very shrewd. And I believe not choosing Shapiro was shrewd as well. In fact, each candidate had a lot to bring to the table, and each being an opinion leader among his own constituency will enable the “unchosen” to lead the fight for electing Kamala Harris and Tim Walz come November. I can guarantee someone, somewhere, will find something negative to say about Tim Walz such as today’s WAPO article criticizing Walz’ time in the National Guard. It was an unnecessarily long piece delineating what two or three people felt were not in keeping with their impression of Walz’ service. Bring on the joy, bring in the win, VOTE BLUE.

Trump is a grump. He’s never happy unless he’s the center of attention and there are zillions of people who are playing to his grandiose ego.
😂👕

Watching Jake interview a MAGA after Donald lied like a rug. Trying to put a positive spin on Trump World flushing itself down the drain.
And boy does it stink!

I'll choose joy every day! Let's go 💙

"The Harris campaign promptly raised $36 million in 24 hours."
That's over $400 a second.
I like that math!
#MAJA- Make America Joyful Again
Make America Grin Again
😁
Yea! I choose joy and optimism every time! What a time to watch politics and be inspired by what they can do!
Wild liberal is really just a responsible capitalist
Ha, yes, I like that.

👏💪
Indeed!
Restacked with this perfect concluding note:

Isn't that the perfect quote? Thanks for the restack, I may do the same!
