Historically, Democrats have been lax when it comes to down-ballot races, known as down-ballot rolloff.

This year should be different. In '22, the Republicans took the House by such a tiny margin, it empowered the extremists, giving us the likes of MTG, Gaetz, Johnson and others.

If Democratic voters want to avoid a repeat, they're going to recognize the importance of voting down the entire ballot.

Here's one of several sites that can help.

Dr Caraveo is absolutely the representative we need in this evenly divided district. She’s moderate and works well with both sides.

The road may be a long and winding one, but voting BLUE will ensure the continuation of our Democracy and the future of our children and grandchildren. Remember, if you don't vote, you don't have a right to bitch and moan afterwards. It's nice to see some new, up-and-coming Democrats willing to put themselves on the line for their constituents and our country.

I’ve said the same for years. No voty. No bitchy 😁.

Hoping and praying that the overturning of Roe helps all of these candidates win in November. Women don’t take our loss of reproductive rights easily, we are angry, and we will fight and win!

it was on the high cost of prescription medications. I had moved to Colorado or back to Colorado after being fired from working as a customer service phone rep from Oct 2006-May 2013 so I knew all about the ACA mainly because a woman on the committee for building the ACA was the wife of the fed senator from Indiana Evan Bayh. I wokred for Anthem BCBS as the ACA was being hammered out and being implemented over the years I worked there. I lost the healthcare coverage with being fired and somehow kept things going thanks to a kind doctor I had on this high cost gap insurance for people with pre existing conditions. he wrote me about 6 months worth of RX for high blood pressure meds. I was on unemployment and looking for work. I finally got a job at Connect for Health Colorado in Jan 2014 but had to wait for my health care to kick in so I was well qualified to testify having lived through the ACA full implementation and being a person with a pre exisiting condition. It all worked out but it was that period that I testified about. I was traumatic, even though I was on Medicare when I testified and had stable health coverage knowing medical insurance they way I did from the inside. I never felt like a victim just soldiered through it until I testified about my experience. As a doctor she didn't say much but she knew what I went through. This woman knows medicine and is a very sharp worthy person to represent Colorado in Washington DC. I recently found out she has suffered with depression and finally came out an talked about it. Please consider donating to her election campaign. She really has what it takes to be worthy of the Fed House seat.

Thanks for sharing about these candidates. It's been so great to learn about all the amazing Dems (and a few former Repubs) in this past month, even though I live far away in a blue state (Washington).

Thanks for the overview and the links. Sent a little to each of them.

I hope others will do the same.

We need to win both the House and the Senate in order for the Harris/Walz ticket to make good on their promises. They can't do it without the Legislature behind them!

Unfortunately we received so many appeals for money from the Democratic candidates, that it's overkill. We are to believe that if we don't give more money, we're going to be in deep trouble.

We are in deep trouble if we have to pay to play! No matter what happens, it's not a good sign!

Has it really come down to which side comes up with the most money?

Thanks for featuring the different candidates from around the Nation; every once in a while it's good to be reminded that we are the United States. As a long-time activist who has crossed state line to protest in Washington DC - sometimes it good to be reminded to get off the couch!

Substack has proven to be an excellent forum for bringing people together to share individual perspectives on "the trouble going 'round"!

The big Long Island blue to red flip happened because Lee Zeldin ran a series of racist fear ads, using dubiously sourced footage of predominantly black men committing crimes. Zeldin is not a factor this year. I am hopeful we can undo that damage.

Yes! Dump LaLota ( and Trump lackey Zeldin) and vote Avlon. Zeldin still has many supporters and he expects to be in the “Trump Cabinet”

He won by a small percentage last time. The problem in Florida has always been apathetic voters who don’t go to the polls. This year we have Amendment 4 to stop the 6 week abortion ban, Amendment 3 to legalize marijuana so it might get rid of Rick Scott hopefully

Thank you for spotlighting Will Rollins in our home district of CA-41. Will barely lost in 2022 and the odds are much better in a presidential election year and especially now with Harris at the top of the ticket. Please donate to Will's campaign rather than long shot candidates in other districts with higher profiles but little chance of winning. We are SO close.
