These include hidden razor wire traps, the withholding of water even in extreme heat, and orders to push migrants—including children and infants—back into the Rio Grande where they might drown.

President Biden, this cruel and inhumane use of deadly barriers and actions is in violation of international laws and treaty agreements and must be stopped. And more to the point, Texas certainly shares a border with Mexico, but the simple fact of the matter is that the Federal border of the USA takes precedence over and above any individual states' borders, therefore Texas' border is subject to Federal authority and must be brought in line with acceptable methods of control.
As you noted, the cruelty of what is being done IS the point. Horrifyingly, the more cruel, the better, at least insofar as the MAGA base is concerned.

Something must be done to end the cruelty of Abbott 's dehumanizing methods aimed at migrants ! What happens when there are no more migrants to torture, does he start torturing the next group he doesn't want in Texas : POC , women , LGBTQ + , atheists! What next , people with blue eyes only to live ! When does it stop !!!
Abbott should be arrested and shipped off to The Hague. This is a crime against Humanity.

Just seems like the real target should be Abbott and the people of the state that elected a racist sadist as governor.
Unfortunately, sending a petition to Abbott will accomplish nothing. But sending one to the Justice Department might help them prioritize this.
