We may still be days away from Pride month, but it’s never too early to celebrate LGBTQ+ wins.
Shout out to the teens who organized #TransProm in DC this past week.
Lizette Trujillo on Instagram: “In February, Daniel and his friends @libbygonzalestx , Grayson, and Hobbs came together out of frustration and anger over the anti-trans legislation they have had to fight over the last few years. They asked us (their parents) to help them plan a YOUTH LED rally in DC so that their voices, joy and experiences could finally be heard…directly from them! We reached out to @chasestrangio and he alongside our kids, and an incredible group of organizers created @trans_prom ! Today is the day! 50 trans and non-binary youth from 27 states will be celebrating their joy and visibility in front of the US CAPITOL! It’s such an incredible moment and I can’t believe we are finally here after months of planning! I’m so proud you @danieltrujilloaz13 , Libby, Hobbs and Grayson! Thank you, Chase! Now let’s celebrate TRANS JOY!! Keep watching my ig lives for videos of event as it unfolds!!! #transprom #transjoyisresistance #transjoy #protecttranskids”
And credit to The L.A. Dodgers who made the right decision by reversing course and re-inviting the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to their Pride night.
If you’re going to admit you’re wrong, this is a pretty darned good way to do it.
