Looking forward to tomorrow. As counter intuitive as it sounds, Donald Trump might have saved us. The right has been planning their takeover for decades. But, when they finally achieved their goal they were stuck with Trump as their President. Imagine Project 2025, but with a competent executive; things could have been much worse.
And the Republican gerrymandering has been done by taking Democratic districts to split and merge them with Republican districts to dilute the Democratic voting majority that they had enjoyed.
But what if: Our 'Dear Leader' has managed to piss off just about every grouping of Americans for one or more reasons. Except of course, the 'never say die' MAGA cult and the sickophants. By doing so will these new districts have majorities that are anti-Trump or anti-Republican that come the mid-term election they will either vote Democratic or not at all?
Project 2025 was all about transforming our country into a Christian 'illiberal democracy' ala Hungary. The intention was to make women, minorities, and LGBTQ people second-class citizens. Only white Christian men would have full rights.
The architects of the plan intended to do whatever it took to stay in power once achieved. A key part of that was establishing an all-powerful executive. A competent President could have cemented the Christian Nationalist's hold on our country indefinitely. Fortunately Trump's toxic mix of ignorance, incompetence, and corruption has completely undermined the right's chances of remaining in power.

Thank you!
The ownership of gerrymandering is Republican.
