Ex: “ It would be great if Trump could get Putin to withdraw from Ukraine, but I don’t think Trump has the sway to get Putin to do this.” Or: “ It’s too bad Trump doesn’t have enough influence with Netanyahu to get him to end the wars in Gaza and the West Bank.” Or: “ It’s too bad Trump doesn’t have enough smarts to figure out how to make solar power work better”. Or……I’m sure you could phrase more effectively!

I hope the Democrat leadership is listening. I practiced for many years before the ACA and I fear many of my patients are going to lose their coverage.
What a great insightful article. I have been upset since Wednesday morning when I found out that Trump won. I have serious doubts about Trump’s character, his respect for the Constitution, his ability to corral his tendencies toward revenge, and his judgment. I worry that his administration will engage in reckless spending and cruelty toward immigrants. We hear him call them vermin like Hitler called the Jews. I worry that he will drop Nato and desert Ukraine and our allies. I worry that tariffs and money policies will push us into a recession. I worry that Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid will disappear. I worry that freedom of speech will disappear. I worry that women and non-whites will become 2nd class citizens. I worry that LGBTQ will suffer. I worry that immigrants will be disenfranchised. But, it is what it is, and all I can do is voice my opinion at this point in time. How long that will last is anybody's guess.
It would be extremely beneficial for “The Big Picture” to transmit this article to EVERY Democrat member of Congress!!!

How do we work around the "acting whatever" issue, where a president can appoint "acting" folk without the Senate approval process?
