Vote blue!

Biden is boosting GDP, lowering inflation, creating jobs, increasing investment, fixing infrastructure.

Trump is calling opponents "vermin," designing concentration camps, arranging military force to crush civilians & planning a dictatorship.

Understand that not voting for Biden is a Vote for Trump and an end of DEMOCRACY. Period.

I already have my favorite 2024 election T. This one: t.co/qamICK599Z

Funny and clever! Love it.

I could never vote for Biden the warmonger. Lucky for you I don't live in the US.

How can anyone with any INTEGRITY vote for a man who is allowing genocide.

IF you get Trump it is because a lot of you have not bothered about politics and fed your greed. I hope Trump doesn't get in for your sakes.

Before you tell me it's none of my business I did live in the US for 23yrs and did not like it We left when GWbush got in. The writing was on the wall.

How elections should work and how they actually work are two different things. My vote for Biden is a vote to stop Trump and his sycophants and to ensure women have control over their healthcare. When the U.S.'s democracy is not on the line, then I can look for candidates that conform more to my views. But mine and I hope many voters' priorities are to preserve democracy.

Allison. I do understand you point of view.

I don't think you understand that at the moment Trump is going to win whatever you vote. Even if he doesn't win he will win.

I am not American if I was I would NOT vote for Biden.

I have heard this 'talk' for years about voting for Dems. but nothing has changed. Money in politics of both party's.

Vote wisely, folks! Democracy is on the ballot…tfg and his minions aren’t promoting democracy. Instead, they are promoting a Christo-fascist, white nationalist dictatorship!

Three pillars create a strong foundation. The three pillars of the modern Republican Party are "arrogance," "ignorance" and "cruelty" in equal and epic proportions.

I've been saying this for decades.

They are the party of big business, the military-industrial complex, the intelligence community, and even organized crime -- the drug trade is a major part of our economy, like it or not.

...and Joe Biden is different? Give me a break!

When did he commit rape?

When did he defraud his contractors?

When did he suck up to foreign dictators?

When did Biden call for an American insurrection?

Most of all...

When did Biden say that Nazis were "very fine people?"

They sure are...to fellow Nazis.

The whole idea of "parental rights" totally abdicates on the idea of "parental responsibilities." Don't want your kid reading Toni Morrison? Take the book away from him. Check under the mattress where you keep checking for Playboys. If it is actually assigned, ask the teacher to let the kid do a book report on an alternate book and spend the class discussion time in study hall. NOTHING will endear you to your kid like having him go to study hall because his mom won't let him read the book. But them's the breaks if you need to protect his purity. Parent up, folks! Don't let the state take away your parental right to make your kid look like a fool.

Marketing is everything in America. Everything about success in America is Marketing. Trump is the greatest marketer of them all. He keeps people attending to him and his product-himself- like no other marketer in the history of marketing. Marketing decides what truth is. The market will decide if there will be more of him or if the market is tired of him or frightened of him. But one thing for sure the Oligarchs who own most of the market will be ok with a Trump or Biden. Both are of corporate -Market Ideology.

They get more tax benefits with Republicans, who make the little people pay the taxes for the big people. Corporate America wants Trump because they don't want to pay taxes. So much patriotism, lol.

Complete gibberish. Very few actually think they're better off today than they were 3 years ago. Republicans care about liberty for all because it's best for the soul.

Umm, 3 years ago we were in the middle of a pandemic. Of course this country is better off now. Particularly considering who was running the country then.

As for the notion that Republicans care about liberty, that is rich. And not sure what it has to do with the soul. but to be clear, Republicans around the country want to roll back the rights of women, LGBTQ+ people and minorities. That means restricting liberty. Just look at Mike Johnson, who is second in line to the presidency thanks to a unanimous vote of the Republican House conference: he wants to not just allow the government to force women and girls to give birth against their will, but he wants the government to criminalize private consensual sexual behavior. He and his fellow Christian nationalist legislators want to roll back contraceptive access. Want to keep women and girls who seek abortions outside of the state from doing traveling across state lines. Imagine, keeping citizens from traveling outside their state. That is the level of government control Republicans want to exert. Not to mention the banning of books and government control over what medicines parents allow their kids to take. And rolling back voting rights. It's just bizarre to hold onto this notion that Republicans care about liberty. If you want to talk healthcare, if Republicans really cared about competition and market-based healthcare, they would have supported Obamacare which was a conservative market-based law devised by Republicans as a moderate alternative to "socialist" healthcare. But even that maintains the private health care industry, which by definition restricts liberty by tying health care to employers.

Well, 4 years is a fair question. 2019 was pre-Covid and the economy was doing well.

For some reason, people give Trump credit for the 2019 economy but don't give Biden any credit for ushering us out of the pandemic in the strongest economic recovery of the G8 nations, with an very low unemployment rate, strong GDP growth and improving inflation. It's an objectively strong economy, but it's true that people don't seem to feel that. And that's what matters in the end.

Then why aren’t they practicing what they preach? The government making my healthcare decisions isn’t “liberty” in any sense of the word.

If abortion is all you care about, then there's nothing Republicans can do to win your vote.

As a note: Republicans would be more invested in giving you choices on healthcare decisions than others, but if abortion is your litmus test, then the discussion is closed.

abortion is the ultimate litmus test. If they can force a woman to have a child she doesn't want, a child the father has already walked out on (without consequence) or, like the case in Texas, a child that has zero chance of survival what other test is there? They are not interested in giving choices, they are on interested in control. But only control of women as those same people are also interested in taking away birth control options (but Viagra is fine) and there are no laws forcing a man to take any responsibility. Control of my own body is the only litmus test and once you've taken away any portion of that you've demonstrated you are not concerned with my well being. So please tell me, outside of abortion what "healthcare decisions" are the Republicans willing to give to us that we don't already have?

Expand full comment

What choices are republicans offering for healthcare then? I sure haven't heard of any. "Repeal the ACA!" With what? They've yet to provide any plan for an alternative.

Expand full comment

I think you make a valid point that very little is being done right now from Rs or Ds to lower the cost of healthcare. Things Rs have done include HSAs, price transparency, competition among providers, insurance competition, reimbursing a larger array of services (like chiropractic care, ...), among others.

Most of those public benefits are thanks to the ACA, which Republicans would like to eliminate.

To borrow your phrase, complete gibberish. Not one of those things moves healthcare costs downward.

I hope you're not serious because that's ridiculous. It's more than just abortion. Don't trust parents to treat their children's medical issues? Don't trust parents to choose which books their kids should be able to read? It's not just abortion and you should know that. The economy in the country is in such good hands now I'd like to keep it that way.
