Bill Barr was a sleazy, bullying character. Then he behaved so strangely by suddenly resigning, and then later criticizing Trump. After reading about this sequence of events, seems like he was trying to deflect or confuse people as to where he stands, realizing he is in a heap of legal trouble if people start inspecting this more closely. A head fake, perhaps?
Q: Assuming Barr really was in it up to his neck, misusing his DOJ power, then what, if any of this behavior, could result in heavy fines or jail time for Barr?
Q: Would DOJ ever go after Barr for his misbehavior, in any case? Or would they rather look the other way, got enough on their hands, or they see him as 'one of our own'...?
Am I oversimplifying by thinking that the hallowed 1023, that Grassley was breathlessly bloviating about all last summer on Fox, could turn out to be the smoking gun pointed at Barr and Trump?

Bill appears on CNN as if he was better than Trump. The real question is just how guilty he really is?
