Hey George we knew this coming in the 60s ! Wtf did we take our foot off the gas,in the streets is the only way we ever got anything done .Did we get old ,lazy or just turn into the same people we used to call the establishment? Hopefully the kids ,if they survive will be more persistent in their beliefs than we were.I’m ashamed of myself and my whole generation. God forgive us.
I did feel a tad bit more hopeful after reading this interview and i am grateful for that. I didn’t know that the cost of solar had come down so dramatically and that Republicans in TX were not always railing against it. Perhaps now, our nation will make the switch from dirty to clean energy. As Winston Churchill said, “You can always count on Americans to do the right thing, after they've tried everything else.”
I am living in a country where it is easier to live an environmentally conscious life. I have a public transportation pass on my phone. We are turning out home into a passive house. We use bikes, walking and public to get around. The drinking water is safe, so I don't buy bottled anymore, and we have cut back on meat consumption. When I go to another city, or even country that is not transcontinental I am generally using the train.

A lot of ordinary people are doing their best. Cut down on water use (most important for me) grow more trees.
Yes if one can Hybrid/electric cars, they should be made cheaper especially in the US.
In France we have stopped short flights, now you need to take the electric trains.
Why is it that the US is not building superfast trains like many of the Country's in the World?
