David Hogg is a hero for his generation. He is such an inspiration. I’m 76 and when I see him speaking out it brings tears to my eyes. His is the generation that will save us.
Too many politicians discount young voices and ideas. Sadly it happens on both sides of the aisle, though Republicans are the most egregious. I am 60 years old, and I hope I live to see this generation turn things around!
The future belongs to the young and it’s up to them to save it. Being in my 70’s, my generation had their chance and then dropped the ball. Only the worst, most selfish people would refuse to inact gun control and safety laws. What kind of greedy self serving politicians play politics with the lives of our children? Remember, these politicians who choose to turn a blind eye to gun safety laws, send their country to exclusive private schools with private security guards. The same principle was true in states like Florida, where the Governor sent out children back to the classroom without masks, while his kids went to a private school that mandated masks.
David Hogg has become a great leader of his generation. I have immense respect & admiration for this young man. Trying to convince the older folks to stand up & be counted has become an ongoing battle. Some of us have suffered great personal losses because of our stand. We are counting on Gen Z to save us. Don't ever give up, David. We need you.
This interview is definitely one of the most encouraging portraits of the the future that I’ve read in a very long time.
Generation Z is clearly and obviously the most well positioned, connected, and informed group of young citizens of our country and in all likelihood will prove to be the champions we all need to preserve our freedom loving liberal democracy.
I applaud David Hogg and all who work with him to secure a stable, strong, and safe future for all Americans.

May be it is caused by the distance (I am European) that I think there is something missing: the school shooter. Why is he not there? What is it they find in blind killing? Is strong penalty an answer?
My feeling is that weapons are an expression of frontier mentality, but it does not explain the aimless killing in mass/school shootings.
