Gerrymandering should be outlawed. PERIOD. The Electoral College needs reform or ridding too. The popular vote need more weight- seats in the national Senate too.
Mr Wikler has a real political future at the Federal level, should he wish it. For the time being, he might want to offer some talk time to the blue party officials in both OHIO and FLORIDA who could really use some strategy help!
Thank you for this uplifting conversation. Back when Scott Walker was Wisconsin’s Governor I lived “across the pond” on Minnesota’s North Shore. Gov. Walker’s policies, tactics and “leadership” made me cringe. At that time, with no understanding whatsoever of the extreme gerrymandering, it seemed like Wisconsinites were becoming the enemies of democracy.
I’m glad to know now that I was misjudging my neighbors based on something they were unable to control. There aren’t enough superlatives to commend the excellent work by the Wisconsin Democratic Party over the past two decades. I applaud their commitment to working year-around, year after year, to bring about this change in their State government.
It is sad that it took more than three election cycles to turn things around, but their perseverance has reaped enormous rewards. Their excellent work is/should be the model for every other State in our country.

Wisconsin is such a model for the rest of us! Thank you to the good democracy fighters there. I really appreciate you. I am hoping we turn our purple state of AZ blue in the very near future. We are working hard here! 💙
I wish that the John Lewis Act was passed ! It would be a great honor for him plus it would put a stop to the repugnants other evil things they do to destroy democracy !
Now the next thing the repugnants are doing is throwing out citizens voting ballots , so voters need to recheck that their ballots are accepted and registered !
Gerrtmandering is an insidious process that nrrds yo be addressed by the voters in each state. Here in Ohio, we have finally set up an independent commission to redraw the district maps. Our arrogant Republican controlled legislature ignored the new mas and used the old gerrymandered ones. The Ohio Supreme Court has ruled that they are in non-compliance, but there doesn't seem to be any mechanism to enforce the ruling. the only recourse is to VOTE THEM OUT although that's difficult to do because of the gerrymandering!

Education is the answer to peoples self governing. When they understand the issues and how benefits them and their families, they will vote blue.
