It was nice to see the rule of law have a couple of wins worth celebrating this week.
Just over a month after former Republican President Donald Trump was indicted by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg on 34 counts of fraud, Trump was found liable for sexual abuse and defamation against writer E. Jean Carroll to the tune of $5 million.
Carroll herself said it best in a celebratory tweet:
Even Rupert Murdoch-owned right-wing tabloid New York Post knew just how to characterize the judgment.
