Back during scum-p's first term, I started flat out saying that he suffered from narcissism to a disturbing degree. Of course, I was backed up only by a psychology minor from the early 70s. And those who could truly diagnose him were quiet because it is a huge no-no for medical professionals to make armchair diagnoses.
By the time the 2020 election rolled around, I had "upped" my diagnosis to Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). An extremely serious diagnosis, indicating that scum-p was a truly dangerous person. I did not determine that lightly. I spent hours reading and studying various psychiatric conditions. In fact, I was originally quite resistant to going along with such a serious and virtually untreatable diagnosis. I think a large part of my reluctance was both resistance to the idea that this country could actually elect such a creature and my deep desire that this country not be in such danger.
People suffering from high level NPD truly demonstrate little/none of what most feel makes a human a human. It is what lies behind the worst monsters to emerge in our species. The Kim's in N Korea, the Duvalier's in Haiti, Tojo (fronted by Hirohito), Stalin, various Russian and Chinese dictators, Jackson's attempts to wipe out native Americans, etc. The list is long and reaches back to the start of mankind.
But, even after scum-p's first term, most psychiatric professionals were hesitant to publicly diagnose a non-patient. And typically, that is the right action, the ethical action. Diagnosing anything in anybody who has not been directly examined is often inaccurate if not flat out wrong. But the evidence kept mounting.
And by 2024, the danger to the country became all too glaringly obvious to many in mental health, that the inherent dangers of a second trump term overrode all else. It became obvious that extreme times called for extreme measures. I cannot stress strongly enough how unusual the actions taken by a large group of metal health professionals was. They risked censure, even potential destruction of careers. But how does one sleep at night if one chooses not to warn of impending disaster?
And so:
"Back in 2024, a group of more than 200 mental health professionals signed an open letter warning that Trump was 'grossly unfit' for office due to 'his symptoms of severe, untreatable personality disorder – malignant narcissism.'
As the letter noted:
'Even a non-clinician can see that Trump shows a lifetime pattern of "failure to conform to social norms and laws,’" "repeated lying," "reckless disregard for the safety of others," "irritability," "impulsivity," "irresponsibility," and "lack of remorse." ' "
The implications are clear. If scum-p had not been raised in money, he long ago would have been sentenced to incarceration...in a long-term psychiatric facility for the criminally insane. With little chance of ever being released. Only his family money allowed him to not personally commit violence, horrific violence.
And I will go further than those professionals, because I can. I deeply believe that NPD is most definitely a heritable condition. And those who choose to ignore that risk the rise to power of scum-p 2, who having been raised in the swamp of insanity, holds the potential to be far worse.
And all I can think of is the words of Percy Bysshe Shelley: "Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!" The question is, will scum-p and his family be reduced to rubble in time to save us. Eventuality will happen, it always does. But will it be in time?
He doesn't care about the Republican party, much less the country.

Allison and Menton note that Trump did not move his assets into a blind trust with an independent manager, as his predecessors did if they traded in stocks at all (former presidents Biden and Barack Obama did not). Instead, his sons Don Jr. and Eric manage the business as it operates in areas that are directly related to government policies decided by Trump himself. Trump invested in major companies with business affected by what he decided to do, including Nvidia, Intel Corp, Netflix, Paramount Skydance, Warner Bros Discovery, Microsoft, Meta, and Amazon.
Wall Street executives told the journalists they were “baffled” by the high volume of trades and concerned about the appearance of conflicts of interest. “All of this raises questions that you’d rather not raise as a president,” wealth manager Matthew Tuttle told the reporters. “So now people are asking why is he buying Nvidia and other companies now? When you’re the president you know everything, so any stock you buy, there’s a huge question mark.”
If the Democrats take both the House and the Senate, anything Trump does or says after that will be, if the Democrats have any sense at all, ex officio.
Because impeaching Trump should be job #1 the moment that new Congress is in effect. (At that point, they may even be able to find a handful of Republicans in the Senate to agree.)
