What would be the legal status of individuals who fight off and potentially kill their “kidnapper” because they have no proof they are over agents. Also, people could be kidnapped in public by someone pretending to be ice.

How do we know they really ARE ice agents? We don’t. Ice showed up at an LA public school demanding to see certain children. They had a list of their names. They said they were doing a “welfare check“ which ICE does not do. They refused to let the school administrators look at their IDs, and the school administrators refused to allow them to see those students or tell them where they were. Disaster averted! I think a lot of of these people who are pretending to be with ICE, or DOGE, are not. They are just bands of troublemakers. Like the Taliban pretend to be Muslim, but they are not good Muslims. Like the Klu Klux Klan pretend to be Christians, but they are not truly Christian. Like Republican legislators pretend to be public servants, but they are not.
